Everything You Should Know About Google Play Console
Updated 3 months agoIn 2023, Google introduced stricter verification steps for developer accounts on the Play Console. These changes aim to improve transparency and prevent misuse of the Play Store. As of now, both new and existing developer accounts must meet these updated requirements.
What Google Needs to Verify Your Account
Google will ask for the following details to verify that your developer profile is legitimate and compliant. This information will also appear on your public app listing where applicable.
Personal or business info required:

Legal name

Legal address

Contact email (you’ll verify it through a one-time password)

Contact phone number (also verified via OTP)

Preferred language for email communication

Developer email and phone (these will be shown on your Google Play listing)
If registering as an organization, you’ll also need to provide:

Organization type (company, nonprofit, academic, or government)

Organization size (choose from 1–10 to over 1,000 employees)

Official company phone number

Business website
What You’ll Need to Submit
