Set Up Your App Store API Key
Updated 3 months agoBefore Vegacart can publish your app to the App Store, you’ll need to set up access from your Apple Developer account. This is a one-time process that takes just a few minutes.
What You’ll Need Before You Start
Make sure the following are ready:
-
You’re logged in as the Account Holder of your Apple Developer account
-
Your Apple Developer membership is active
-
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is turned on for your Apple ID
Step 1: Generate Your API Key
-
Go to App Store Connect and log in
-
Click Users and Access from the top menu
-
Open the Keys or Integrations tab
-
Tap the + button to generate a new key
-
Give your key a name like “Vegacart Access”
-
Set the access level to Admin
-
Click Generate
Once the key is created:
-
Click Download API Key (.p8 file) — you can only do this once
-
Make sure to note down the Key ID (e.g., 5CA44BX2D9) and the Issuer ID (e.g., 12a4bc78-5678-12e3-e123-1a2b3c45d6d7)
Keep these details safe as you’ll need them in the next step.
Upload Your API Key to Vegacart
-
Head over to your Vegacart dashboard
-
Select your app and open Settings
-
Scroll to the Apple API Key section
-
Paste your Issuer ID and Key ID, and upload the .p8 file
-
Click Save Changes
Once saved, tap on Test API Key. If it shows “Valid API Key,” you’re all set.
If you run into any issues during this step, just reach out to your Account Manager or Implementation Specialist from the Vegacart team. We’re here to walk you through it.
