Maintaining Your Apple Developer Account
Updated 3 months agoTo keep your mobile app live and functioning smoothly on the App Store, your Apple Developer Account needs to stay active. Apple doesn’t allow updates or new versions of your app if the account isn’t in good standing.
It’s also important to regularly check the “Agreements, Tax, and Banking” section in App Store Connect.

Yellow or Red = Something needs fixing
How to Update Your PLA (Program License Agreement)
Apple frequently updates its Program License Agreement (PLA), and accepting the latest terms is mandatory if you want to keep your app discoverable and updatable.
Here’s how to make sure your PLA is up to date:
-
Log in to your Apple Developer Account
-
If there’s a red banner at the top, click ‘Review Agreement’
-
Check the box and click ‘I Agree’
-
Then, head over to App Store Connect
-
Go to Agreements, Tax, and Banking and ensure all info is filled in correctly
Keeping this section updated is essential for app submissions and updates via Vegacart.
Renewing Your Apple Developer Membership
Apple charges $99/year for developer accounts. If your membership expires, your app will no longer be available for new downloads or updates.
To renew your membership:
-
Log in to your Apple Developer Account
-
If your membership is expired or about to expire, you’ll see a red banner
-
Click it and update your credit card info to renew
Pro Tip: Enable auto-renew during sign-up so you never miss a renewal deadline.
Common Issues That Could Block Your App
Even if your account is active, a few other things might stop your app from going live. Check these:
-
Unresolved Agreements: Apple sometimes adds new agreements like the Free Apps or Paid Apps agreement. You’ll need to accept these in App Store Connect.
-
Incomplete Payment Info: All fields in the Agreements, Tax, and Banking section must be fully filled out.
Once you've completed these updates, make sure to notify our support team so we can keep your app deployment or update on track.
