How to Remove Your App from App Store and Google Play

Updated 3 months ago

For the App Store

  1. Go to App Store Connect

  2. Click into My Apps

  3. Open the app you want to remove from the store

  4. Head to Pricing and Availability

  5. Scroll down and choose Remove from Sale

This will hide your app from public view until you're ready to go live again.

For Google Play

  1. Log in to your Google Play Console

  2. Select the app you want to unpublish

  3. From the left menu, click the arrow next to Setup

  4. Choose Advanced Settings

  5. Under App Availability, switch it to Unpublished, then save the changes

Your app will now be removed from public access on Google Play.

Things to Keep in Mind

Once you're ready to republish the app, both stores may take some time to process the change. Typically, this update shows up within 2 to 4 days, so plan accordingly.
