How to Fix an App Crash

If your app is crashing, don't worry. Most issues are easy to resolve with a few quick steps. Here’s how we recommend handling it.

Step 1: Force Quit the App

Start by force quitting the app on the device. In many cases, the crash is temporary and a simple restart is enough to get things working again.

Step 2: Check for the Latest Device Software

Make sure the device has the most up-to-date software installed. Here’s how:

  • On iPhone or iPad: Go to Settings, tap General, then tap Software Update

  • On Android devices: Scroll down to Settings, tap System, then tap System Update

If an update is available, install it and reopen the app to test again.

Step 3: Make Sure Your App is Running on the Latest GrootApps Build

Your app build plays a key role in performance. We recommend checking in with the GrootApps team every quarter to ensure your app is running the latest version.

Heads up: Once we submit a new build, it usually takes 5 to 7 days for Apple and Google Play to approve the update and push it live.
