Manage Products and Collections

Vegacart lets you sync all your products and collections from Shopify into a custom mobile app where your customers can browse and shop with ease. But there may be times when you want to show or hide specific items from the app.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to manage product and collection visibility in just a few clicks.

Why Hide a Product from the App?

There are plenty of reasons you may want to hide a product or collection from your mobile app. For example:

  • A seasonal item that is not currently in stock

  • A product still in testing that is not ready for mobile shoppers

  • A limited offer that you only want to run on the website

Whatever the reason, Vegacart makes it simple to control visibility through your Shopify admin.

How to Show or Hide a Product in Vegacart

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Open your Shopify Dashboard

  2. From the left menu, click Products

  3. Choose the product you want to show or hide

  4. On the product detail page, find the Sales Channels section in the upper right

  5. Click the Manage button

  6. To show the product in your mobile app, check the box for Vegacart - Mobile App. To hide it, simply uncheck that box

  7. Click Done

  8. Then select Save in the top right corner

That’s it - your product visibility is now updated in the app.

Pro tip: Want to save time? You can also select multiple products and update their visibility in bulk using the same steps.

How to Show or Hide a Collection

You can also control which collections appear in your mobile app. Here’s how:

  1. Open your Shopify Dashboard

  2. Click on Products in the left menu

  3. Select Collections

  4. Choose the collection you want to update or select multiple collections using the checkboxes

  5. Click Edit Collections

  6. In the visibility options, check or uncheck the Vegacart - Mobile App box as needed

  7. Save your changes

Once saved, your mobile app will reflect the new visibility settings.
