How to Migrate Your Mobile App to Vegacart

If you already have a mobile app built through another platform, moving it to Vegacart is much easier than you might think. We support app migration by updating over your existing app listing on the App Store and Google Play. This ensures your customers experience a smooth transition without needing to download a new app.

What to Expect During Migration

Vegacart uses your existing app’s Bundle ID to push the new app build. Here is how the process works:

  • Once the migration is complete, users who have auto-update turned on will receive the new version of your app automatically, usually overnight while connected to WiFi

  • If a user has updates turned off, they can simply visit the App Store or Google Play and tap Update to get the latest version

We always recommend informing your customers about the app update through your usual marketing channels. A quick email, SMS, or social post can encourage those with auto-updates turned off to install the newest version.

Important Notes for Google Play

In some cases, migrating an existing Android app may require resetting the upload key in your Google Play Console. This is necessary for Vegacart to publish updates over your current app listing.
