STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO SENDING A PUSH

To begin, head to the Sales Channel section in your Vegacart dashboard.
On the right-hand side, click Add New Notification to get started.
You’ll now see three sections:

Select Push Type

Build Notification

Send Notification
Let’s break each of these down
Step 2: Select Push Type
This is where you configure the type of notification and who should receive it.

1. Device Type
Choose your target audience based on their device:

Android

iOS
-
Both

2. Audience Segment
Select the user segment you want to target. You can send push notifications to:

Active users
-
Inactive users
-
Subscribed users
-
Users based on region

3. Region Targeting
Narrow your audience further by selecting specific regions where you want the push to be delivered.

4. Push Type
Now choose what kind of push notification you want to send:

Default – Sends users to your app’s homepage.

Collection – Redirect users to a specific collection inside your app.

Product – Send users directly to a product detail page.
-
Custom – Choose any custom page or URL within the app to link users.
Each option helps you drive users exactly where you want them to go.

Step 3: Build Your Notification
Once you’ve selected your push type, you’ll be redirected to the Build Notification section. This is where you add the actual content of your push.
Add Title and Message
Start by writing a Headline and Message for your notification. The headline appears bolded in the notification and should quickly grab attention.
Add an Image
You can also include an image to make your notification more visual and engaging.
Supported formats:

Size limit: 4 MB
Recommended dimensions: 4:5 ratio
Make sure your image is optimized for best display on mobile devices.

Step 4: Send Your Push Notification
Now head over to the Push Notification section to decide when you want to send it.
You’ll see three options:

Send Now – Send the notification immediately

Schedule for Later – Pick a specific date and time for the push to go out

Save as Draft – Save your work and come back to it later
This gives you flexibility to plan your messaging ahead or act in real-time.
