What is Firebase?

Firebase is a free and powerful analytics and backend platform by Google that helps you understand how users interact with your mobile app. It works for both iOS and Android, allowing you to track key metrics like downloads, sessions, active users, and more. 

With Firebase, you can also sync app data in real-time across devices using its cloud services, while keeping your mobile analytics separate from your website data.

Integrating Firebase with Vegacart allows you to track detailed shopping and purchasing behavior inside your app, giving you deeper insights into what drives conversions.

With this integration, you can:

How to Connect Firebase with Vegacart

  1. Go to Firebase Console and select Create a Project

  2. Enter your project title in this format: (Your Company Name) Mobile App

  3. Tap Continue

  4. Link your project with your existing Google Analytics account

  5. Select your country, review the agreements, and tap Create Project

  6. Wait for the setup to process and open your Firebase project dashboard

  7. On the top-left menu, click the settings icon next to Project Overview

  8. Select Users and Permissions

  9. Invite support@vegacart.io with Editor role and click Invite User

Additional Steps for Vegacart Setup

To complete the setup:

  • Upload your iOS GoogleService-Info.plist and Android google-services.json files

  • Fill in the required configuration details:
    - iOS App Information
    - Android App Information

  • Submit the details and files in the Vegacart dashboard for seamless integration

Important Note

Once the invite has been sent and configuration files uploaded, confirm with the Vegacart team so they can finalize the setup. Please note there is usually a 24-hour delay between your first launch and when data starts appearing in your Firebase dashboard.
